1- This resource is aimed at students doing AQA GCSE Design & Technology - Food Coursework.

2- Whilst many students can cope on their own with the requirements of the coursework, some struggle when faced with an empty A3 size paper.

3- The ‘Student’s Guide’ is aimed at helping students to be as independent as possible by providing instructions and tick boxes to be filed by the student as he/she progresses through the design brief.

It needs to be photocopied onto A4 paper.

4- Resource contains options for some sections of the design brief.

For example: There are four options for research:

one blank page

one page, two sections

one page, three sections

one page with four sections

catering for a variety of research presentations.

5- Frames can be adapted by the higher achievers, whilst those in the medium to lower ability band can be ‘stretched’ to improve the quality of their coursework – thus raising standards.

6- Resource is in paper format photocopiable within the purchasing establishment only.
